Tuna Killer Web

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

This policy explains setup fee refunds, monthly plan cancellation, and what happens to your website and related services when our work together ends. It applies to payments made to Tuna Killer Web for the services described in your order or written service agreement.

Your order identifies your deliverables, fees, billing schedule, and included support. A different term applies only if it was clearly disclosed and agreed to in writing before purchase. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that applicable law requires.

Setup fee refunds

Before work begins. If you cancel before we begin project work or incur expenses you approved, we will refund your setup payment in full.

After work begins. If you cancel after work starts, we will refund the unearned portion of your setup payment. We may deduct the value of work actually completed through the time we receive your cancellation and nonrecoverable third-party expenses you approved for your project. Project work can include discovery, copywriting, design, development, configuration, and testing. Simply receiving your order or scheduling a call does not earn the setup fee.

Deductions will follow the milestone amounts or hourly rates agreed in writing before work began. If no allocation was agreed, deductions will be limited to the reasonable value of completed work, supported by an itemized explanation. We will not deduct more than your setup payment or add an undisclosed cancellation fee. Separately approved additional work remains governed by its own agreed charges.

After setup is completed. Once the agreed setup work has been completed and delivered or made available for your review, the setup fee is earned and is not refundable solely because you change your mind, do not use the site, or cancel your monthly plan.

If we do not deliver the agreed work. Tell us what is missing or materially fails to match the agreed scope. We will review the issue and, where appropriate, correct it within 10 business days or a reasonable timeframe agreed with you. If we cannot deliver the agreed work, we will refund the amount paid for work not delivered or not reasonably usable as agreed. A full setup refund applies if none of the delivered work is reasonably usable for the agreed purpose. These review arrangements do not delay any remedy required by law.

Approved third-party purchases, such as domain registrations or licensed assets, may be nonrefundable once purchased. We will explain any such expense before you authorize it. We will pass along any applicable recovery and will not deduct the same expense twice. This expense exception does not reduce a full setup refund due under the failure-to-deliver provision above.

Monthly plan cancellation

Monthly plans renew each month at the rate and on the billing date disclosed when you enroll. Our standard monthly plan has no minimum term and no early cancellation fee. Any different commitment must be clearly stated and separately accepted in writing before purchase.

How to cancel. Email thetunakiller@gmail.com and clearly state that you want to cancel your monthly plan. Include your name and website address or account email so we can locate your account. “Cancel Monthly Plan” is a helpful subject line, but specific wording is not required. You may also cancel by calling (949) 903-3788. You do not need to schedule or complete a call, explain your decision, or obtain refund approval to cancel.

When cancellation takes effect. We stop future renewals based on the time we receive your cancellation. To avoid the next monthly charge, cancel before your next renewal is due. Your service continues through the end of the period already paid for unless you ask us to end it sooner. We will confirm the cancellation and service end date by email; waiting for our confirmation does not postpone cancellation.

Remaining charges and refunds. We do not ordinarily issue partial refunds for unused days in a monthly period that has already begun when you choose to cancel. We will refund amounts collected for later monthly periods that will not begin because of your cancellation, duplicate or incorrect charges, and amounts required by law. If a renewal charge processes despite cancellation received before that renewal was due, we will refund it.

If we end a paid service early or fail to provide a material part of the agreed service, we will refund the prepaid amount attributable to the service not provided. This does not limit any additional rights you may have. Cancellation does not erase valid charges for work already performed or usage and third-party expenses you previously authorized.

A refund request does not automatically cancel your monthly plan unless your message also asks us to cancel. If you want both, tell us in the same message.

Your site domain and content after cancellation

Hosting and ongoing services. Hosting, maintenance, updates, support, and any features supplied through your monthly plan end on your confirmed service end date. If we host your site, it may go offline at that time. Connected forms, booking tools, email, databases, automations, or other features may also stop if they rely on services provided through your plan. Arrange replacement services before the end date if you want to keep them operating. Canceling our plan does not cancel subscriptions you pay directly to other providers; manage those subscriptions with the provider.

Your domain and accounts. A domain you own remains yours. Canceling our service does not transfer ownership of your domain to us. If we manage a domain on your behalf, we will reasonably assist with returning administrative control or transferring it, subject to the registrar's security and transfer requirements. You are responsible for domain renewal fees and keeping your registration current. Any domain included in your package must be identified in your order, including who owns it and who pays renewals.

Your content and paid deliverables. You retain your rights to content, photographs, logos, business records, and other materials you supplied. We do not claim ownership of them because you cancel, and we will not withhold materials you supplied or control of a domain you own solely because of a billing dispute.

For custom deliverables we own and create specifically for your project, full payment gives you a perpetual right to use, copy, modify, and host those deliverables for your business, including through another service provider. Any broader ownership transfer stated in your written agreement remains in effect. Canceling the monthly plan does not revoke rights already granted for paid work.

Our preexisting tools and reusable components remain ours. Third-party software, stock media, fonts, plugins, and platform services remain subject to their owners' licenses. Rights to use those items may require a separate subscription or license after cancellation.

Files and handoff. On request, we will provide one standard handoff of your content, available business data, and paid website files that we can legally and technically export, at no additional handoff fee. Available source files will be included where they form part of your paid deliverables. We will identify any material transfer limitations and the accounts or services you need to replace.

Some hosted platforms and connected services cannot be exported as a complete working website or transferred between accounts. Rebuilding features, configuring a new provider, or performing additional migration work is a separate service requiring your approval of the scope and price. Third-party transfer or subscription charges are your responsibility.

Access and retention. Request your files before service ends whenever possible. We will keep an exportable copy of your content and eligible files available for 30 calendar days after the service end date and provide the standard handoff within 10 business days of your request. This retrieval period does not extend live hosting or access to our platform accounts. You retain access to accounts you own, subject to the relevant provider's terms. If you request a handoff within the 30-day retrieval period, we will retain the requested eligible files until that handoff is completed.

After the 30-day retrieval period, operational copies may be deleted and restoration may not be possible. Backup copies may remain until normal backup rotation removes them, and records may be retained where required by law. Keep your own copies of important files and data.

Changes to the service

We will email the contact address on your account about a material change to your recurring price, included services, or this policy before it affects your plan. The notice will explain the change, its effective date, and how to cancel. Please keep your contact information current.

For a recurring price change, we will send notice 30 calendar days before the first billing date at the new price. If we send an earlier announcement, we will also send notice within the 7-to-30-day period before the change takes effect. For other material changes that reduce included services or affect cancellation or refund rights, we will ordinarily provide at least 30 calendar days' notice.

If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect without an additional cancellation fee. We will obtain any consent required by law or your agreement before applying a change. An existing fixed-price project or expressly guaranteed rate will be honored for its agreed term.

Urgent security, legal, or third-party platform changes may require faster action. We will explain the change as soon as reasonably possible. If we permanently discontinue a prepaid service or materially reduce it during a paid period and you choose to end that affected service, we will refund the prepaid amount attributable to service not provided.

Changes apply prospectively and will not reduce refund rights that arose before the change took effect.

How to request a refund

Send your written request to thetunakiller@gmail.com. Use “Refund Request” as the subject if convenient. You may also call (949) 903-3788 for help; a telephone conversation is optional.

Your name, business name, and account email.

Your website address or project name.

The payment date, amount, and invoice or transaction number, if available.

A brief description of the issue and the refund you are requesting.

Whether you also want to cancel your monthly plan.

Missing an invoice number will not by itself prevent review. Please do not email passwords or full payment-card details.

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and normally provide a written decision within 10 business days after receiving the information reasonably needed to review it. If more time is needed, we will explain why and give you an expected decision date. Our response will explain the refund amount and any deductions, or the reason a refund is not due.

Approved refunds will be submitted to the original payment method within 5 business days after approval. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the funds. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will arrange an appropriate alternative with you. Any shorter deadline required by law will control.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Our refund review process does not delay cancellation of future renewals or restrict your rights under applicable law or your payment provider's dispute process.
